Session 7:Enhancing learning with video

How well did your teachers use video in your lessons at school.  Do you think that videos could have enhanced your learning in some subjects.  As a teacher, think of a situation where you would get students to create an animation as part of the learning process?  How do you think this might affect the learning process for the students?


The purpose of using video in the classroom is that try to help students to understand of the subject with visual things.(i.e video, image ) Actually my teachers did not prefer to give the lesson with visual things.But if they have used, it would be easy to understand of the content. I think, videos could have enhanced our learning in some subjects. As a teacher, creating an animation helps the learning process in order to preventing to forget what they learn in the lesson.

Reaction to the tests.


In your blog post, describe your reaction to the tests. Do you think that online tests like this are useful? Would you encourage students to use online tests for other purposes, such as personality tests, technology skills tests, etc. Why/why not?




Actually i founded online test are useful. That is why, students can learn which levels they are and they can enhance their knowledge with using these test.I think using online test encourage students. They may wonder test results so they may do the test because of results. Moreover, they may do test because of analyzing education levels. All in all, the result of the test make student be aware of which level they are and how they can improve themselves.

Enhancing Learning With Visuals

Reflect on your experiences as a student learning one of your subjects in high school. Give examples of the different types of digital literacy strategies (encoding/decoding) that you were required to use. How effective was your teacher’s use of visuals in enhancing the learning in your class? Refer to some of the guidelines and principles that we read about in Chapter 8.


   Lets first take a look at my experiences as a student learning.When i was high school, my teacher examined variety types of digital literacy strategist which one is decoding/encoding. My teacher who is biology instructor showed us some visual things when he was teaching photosynthesis. That visual things are watching video or displaying some pictures about photosynthesis. That was pretty effective for us in class. That is why, visual things always take attention from students.

  Today's students read,understand, create and analyze easily whatever they see. So did i when i was in high school.Actually, these visual things promoted my critical view activities.My instructor encouraged us to consider students' visual learning styles in selecting material.He simplified complex concept of subject.While he was doing these things, he used printed materials,computer screens, PowerPoint slides.He used these guidelines.
